Human literacy is the ability to use knowledge of being human to improve learning and life. It's the foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.


Literacy skills include:

  • Information literacy: Ability to understand facts, statistics, and data

  • Civic literacy: Ability to become aware of public issues and participate in decision-making

  • Critical literacy: Ability to question, examine, and respond to ideas

  • Computer literacy: Ability to use computers to solve problems

  • Digital literacy: Ability to use technology to find, evaluate, create, and communicate


Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, Spelling, Comprehension.
